Hello friends! How is everyone doing?
I’ve truly missed writing and I have finally managed to find some time in my busy schedule to talk to you all about something that I have been thinking about recently. I suppose this mostly applies to university students however, I believe you could apply this to your life depending your particular situation.
Anyway, I have been at school now for a bit over two months, although it seems much longer. Recently, as I have been browsing through Facebook and seeing all of my former classmates photos I have realized that everyone, for the most part, has moved on. I used to think that high school would last forever but it certainly did not and it flew by rather quickly. People have moved on to new locations, new friends and new lives in general. This has made me realize how important it is to not forget those who matter. Of course it is necessary to socialize and find new acquaintances at your new place, where ever that may be, but staying connected to those who you are very close to is vital. The people who you grew up with are the one’s who helped mold the person you are today. Just be sure to stay in contact with family and friends from back home. Those are the people that always will care about you no matter what.
I’ve realized this since being at a completely new environment where I don’t really know anyone too well. I’ve become even closer to my family and I cherish the days that I spend in my home with my mother. Being on my own has made me realize how much I miss my sister as well as my close friends. Adjusting to new things is always good because it also helps you realize what direction you want to go in life and how you may get there. It helps you understand who you want to be and where you want to be. Moving on is a healthy step in life that everyone should embark on. Just be sure to remember who you are and where you came from in the process.
Until next time,
