Hello friends. I’m sure most of you have now heard or read the horrible news regarding Cory Monteith. It’s such a wake up call for me to hear about a young person dying before they could accomplish what they really wanted to do. I took this news as a promise to myself. I want to make sure I appreciate the little things more and I definitely do not want to take things for granted. Anything can happen and it’s scary when you hear of someone so young passing away.
I took this day to reflect on my life. I also thought about my dreams and everything I want to accomplish. As I stated in my last post, everyone should have a dream and have no fear of going after it. A dream is what gets you motivated to work harder towards what you desire. Life is a precious thing and I know that I want to live everyday exactly how I please.
The other thing I thought about today was feelings. Having so much anger against other people or about every day things. I know it’s hard to let things go easily, especially if it’s not your personality to do so, but being angry takes up so much energy. I think forgiving and forgetting is best because you never know when your going to lose someone. You don’t want the last time you were with that person to be full of anger because that is what you will have left them with. If you have had an argument with someone, just forgive. Say your sorry, and hug it out. Some people may think this is nonsense, but honestly you don’t really know what you have until it’s gone.
If you’ve been putting something off, go ahead and do it. If you’ve been wanting to try something for a long time now, do it (but make appropriate decisions). It’s important to be happy. We are all human, and I know it’s impossible to always be cheerful and happy. Naturally, we get annoyed, angry, hold grudges; I know I have definitely been there. But once we get over those things, make sure you mend everything. Spend time with one another. It’s so important. Being with each other is more valuable than anything else in the world.
Make yourself a bucket list of things you want to do in life and then see how many things you can actually accomplish. Go plan a fun vacation for you and your family. Enjoy a picnic with a loved one. Go take a day trip with a friend. Whatever it is you decide to do, make sure you enjoy it.
